Scratch is programming environment and online community for children from the MIT Media Lab's Lifelong Kindergarten group. Using Scratch, kids can make animations, games, interactive stories, and more. I was hired to work locally on the Scratch website. During my time there, I helped release Scratch 2.0, the new online version of the programming editor, as well as a brand-new community site. I worked on both public-facing and internal community moderator features, and helped scale the website to a record number of users and projects. I primarily worked with Python/Django, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
